A Fireplace That Fits the Way You Live
Maybe your old fireplace smokes, leaks heat and has not been lit in years. Maybe the prefab unit the builder put in thirty years ago has rusted out. Or maybe you just want a fire you can start with a button after a long day.
A new fireplace or insert solves all three. It burns cleaner, puts more heat in the room and makes the fireplace the center of the house again.
Dallas Chimney Care installs fireplaces and inserts in Dallas, TX. We help you choose a unit that suits the room, install it with the right venting, and test it before we call it done.
What We Install
Gas fireplace inserts
A sealed gas unit that fits inside your existing fireplace opening. You get steady heat, a glass front and a remote control.
Wood-burning inserts
A modern wood insert burns far cleaner than an open fireplace and holds a fire for hours. It needs a stainless steel liner, which we install with it.
New and replacement fireplaces
We replace worn-out prefab fireplaces and install new gas and wood fireplaces during a remodel. See fireplace remodeling for new surrounds and mantels.
Wood stoves
A free-standing stove heats a large space with very little wood. See wood stove installation.
What Affects the Choice
- How you will use it. A few cozy evenings a year, or real heat for a room.
- What is there now. A masonry fireplace, a prefab unit or a blank wall.
- Fuel. A gas supply at the fireplace, or wood.
- Venting. Up the existing chimney, or out through a wall or the roof.
- Size of the room. A unit that is too large will overheat the space.
How Fireplace Installation Works
- Site visit. We measure the opening, check the chimney and talk through what you want.
- Options and written price. You see the choices and the full cost before you decide, along with our fireplace financing options.
- Prepare. The old unit comes out if there is one, and the chimney is swept and inspected.
- Install. The fireplace or insert goes in with its liner, venting and cap.
- Test. We fire it up, check the draft and the safety controls, and show you how to run it.
If you plan to burn wood, the EPA’s guide to energy efficiency and wood-burning appliances explains why newer units burn cleaner and use less wood.
